Feedback after returning to FTO one year later

I purchased a lifetime Forex Tester Online licence back in July 2025, while the platform was still very much in its beta/development stage. One of the things that encouraged me to support FTO early was the strong emphasis placed on community feedback and the idea that the platform would continue to evolve around the needs of traders using it.

Unfortunately, I ended up using FTO for less than two weeks because I quickly ran into some fairly fundamental limitations within my own backtesting workflow.

At the time, I submitted feedback/tickets regarding two features in particular:

1. Multi-currency backtesting accounts

When configuring a backtesting account, the account currency was limited to USD. As a UK-based trader, I specifically requested the ability to select other base currencies such as GBP and EUR.

For traders trying to simulate their real trading environment accurately, I consider account currency to be a fairly basic backtesting parameter rather than an advanced feature.

2. Standard XABCD / harmonic drawing tools

I am predominantly a harmonic trader, so this was an even bigger limitation for me.

FTO did not have a standard XABCD drawing tool or a dedicated Cypher/harmonic pattern drawing tool. These are fundamental charting tools for anyone trading or testing harmonic patterns, and their absence effectively made the platform unsuitable for a large part of my strategy research.

Fast-forward to 10 August 2026. I decided to log back into FTO after roughly a year to see how much the platform had progressed.

I can see that FTO is now on Release 32 and that a significant amount of development has clearly taken place. However, I was genuinely surprised to find that both of the above limitations still appear to remain.

From my perspective, there seems to be a strong focus on introducing increasingly sophisticated features while some of the more foundational functionality is still missing.

I appreciate that development priorities have to be balanced and that something which appears simple from the user's perspective may require more work behind the scenes. However, after more than a year and over 30 releases, I would have expected features such as selectable account currencies and a standard XABCD drawing tool to have become part of the core platform by now.

For me personally, these aren't niche quality-of-life requests. They directly determine whether I can realistically use FTO for my backtesting workflow.

I purchased the lifetime licence because I liked the direction of the project and wanted to support its development. I still think FTO has a lot of potential, but I would really like to see greater emphasis placed on strengthening the fundamental backtesting and charting tools alongside the more advanced features being introduced.

I would also be interested to know whether multi-currency accounts and XABCD/harmonic drawing tools are currently on the development roadmap.
