Standalone Desktop Application for Forex Tester Online

At present, Forex Tester Online is entirely browser-based, and its performance and functionality can vary significantly depending on the browser being used. Certain features do not behave consistently across different browsers, which often forces users to rely exclusively on Google Chrome to achieve acceptable stability. Requiring a specific browser is not an optimal solution, as it limits user choice and may still lead to performance or compatibility issues caused by browser updates or system configurations.

For this reason, I would like to suggest the development of a standalone desktop application for Forex Tester Online. A dedicated application would allow for:

  • Improved performance and stability

  • Consistent behavior across operating systems

  • Better control over updates and compatibility

  • A smoother and more reliable user experience without dependence on specific browsers

Given that Forex Tester Online is a professional-grade tool used extensively for back testing, a standalone application would be of great value to serious traders and would significantly enhance the platform’s overall usability.

    You are absolutely right that Forex Tester Online is a browser-based application, and browser choice can impact performance and behavior. At this time, Google Chrome is the browser we officially recommend, as it has proven to be the most stable and consistent in our testing. Chrome is also the most widely used browser globally, which allows us to prioritize optimization more effectively. That said, we are continuously working to improve compatibility and performance across other browsers as well.

    Regarding your suggestion for a standalone desktop application: this is a very valid point, and it’s worth noting that Forex Tester originally started as a desktop product back in 2006. Over the years, we released many updates and major improvements, and our current desktop solution is Forex Tester 6, which is a mature, stable, and fully standalone application.

    Forex Tester Online, on the other hand, is our newer product, which officially started operating in 2024. It was created to offer a browser-based, easily accessible alternative, while we continue to evolve and expand its capabilities.
