Option to have trailing drawdown on Prop Challenge

Hi,

Is it possible to have a trailing drawdown option on Prop Challenge?

Most futures prop firms have trailing drawdown rules.

Thank you

    Hello @Carl D ,

    Thank you for your request!

If possible, please share an example (or a description of the specific rule from a prop firm you are referring to). This will help us understand your requirement more precisely and confirm whether it can be implemented or configured in Forex Tester Online.

Once we have a clearer example, we will be able to give you a definite answer.

        Hello @Carl D

        Thank you for your response.

A trailing drawdown (as used by many futures prop firms) is a rule where the maximum allowed drawdown “moves up” together with your account balance when you make profits.

In our Prop Challenge system, we currently do not use a trailing drawdown model.

Instead, we have two fixed rules:

Maximum Total Loss - calculated as a percentage of the initial account balance. This limit does not move and remains fixed during the challenge.

Maximum Daily Loss - the maximum amount you are allowed to lose in a single day. It is calculated based on the higher value between balance and equity at the start of the day. If equity drops below this limit, the account is closed.

So to clarify, our system uses fixed risk limits, not a trailing drawdown mechanism.
