Even if you have set news to be hidden, using "Resume Project" will cause news to continue appearing whenever you open that project from that point on.
Even if you hide it again in the settings, it will reappear the next time you open the project.

We’re already aware of this issue with news reappearing after using “Resume Project,” even when the news display has been disabled.
