Start button animation

When I open the project, the blue start button (playback button) has an animation that looks like a water crest.

I assume this is to draw attention to the button, but can this animation be eliminated?

I use keyboard shortcuts to advance the candlestick and never press the blue button, so the animation is a bit distracting.
