jump forward 1 minute, then pause for 1 second
Hi ForexTester team,
I’d like to suggest a feature for the replay mode.
Currently the chart advances through every tick, which makes it move too fast to follow on intraday timeframes. I’ve been using it for a while and honestly don’t feel like I’m improving — my brain can’t process what’s happening fast enough for it to count as real training.
My suggestion: add an option to jump forward 1 minute, then pause for 1 second before moving to the next bar. That one-second pause gives just enough time to read the chart and decide whether to enter.
Too fast = can’t train properly. Too slow = no different from trading live. This would sit right in the middle.
Thanks for considering it!

Hi @pichit ,
Thank you very much for your thoughtful suggestion and for sharing your experience with Forex Tester!
I completely understand your point. Finding the right balance between replay speed and having enough time to analyze price action is essential for effective backtesting and trading practice.
I'd like to mention that Forex Tester already has a feature called Bar Forward, which might be exactly what you're looking for.
For example, if you're working with a 15-minute timeframe, you can set the Bar Step to 15 minutes.
Then, each time you click the Bar Forward button, the chart will advance by exactly one 15-minute candle.
The main advantage is that you can take as much time as you need to analyze the chart, evaluate potential entries, and make trading decisions before clicking Bar Forward again.
This gives you full control over the pace of your training without having to keep up with continuously moving candles.
I believe this approach could be very helpful for your trading practice.
Of course, I also appreciate your suggestion about an automated replay mode with a configurable pause between candles. I'll share this idea with our development team for consideration.
Please give the Bar Forward feature a try and let me know whether it works for your trading style.
