Feedback

Hello

Below is some feedback I shared in a closed community.

Apparently, some people were so impressed by the positive feedback that they also bought the program.

About me: I am 46 years old, married, have three small children, a full-time job, and a few private projects.
Due to my job, I don't like dealing with new programs. If a program is not self-explanatory for me, I don't think it is intended for a broad target group, and the programmer can have it back and enjoy it themselves.

In trading, I always base many of my decisions on time savings and simplicity.

I had already started backtesting twice before and stopped because it was too time-consuming for me.

Since I really wanted to backtest BTC for a year, I decided to go with Forextester based on the recommendation in the community here and purchased the Pro version.

First of all, the most important criterion for me was fully met, and that was: enormous time savings.
This aspect was fully met for me, and I would buy the program again anytime.

The program is actually self-explanatory, and it took me about an hour to set up a new project. One or two things were unclear to me, and I received immediate help here in the community. Thank you very much @Dominik and @Andrea.

Entering trades was easy and I quickly got used to it. This meant I could trade several days in quick succession.

Now for the problems I had with the software:
At the beginning, I experienced significant delays in the visual displays. By this I mean that I could only zoom in and out of the chart very slowly.
At some point, this annoyed me so much that I wanted to return the program.

The solution was to delete the history. I use a Dell laptop with the following processor for trading: (AMD Ryzen 5 3500U, Radeon Vega Mobile GfX 2.10 GHz). To my knowledge, this is actually perfectly adequate for trading. In comparison, Tradingview doesn't stutter and there are no delays in the display.

Somehow, the program fills up the memory, so that towards the end of backtesting I regularly had to delete the history in order to continue trading properly.

Very rarely, I experienced errors in the visual display. This meant that candles or half sessions (in larger timeframes) were missing. Even reloading didn't help. This was really the exception, but still problematic, because I didn't know if there was resistance there and if I could enter there, for example.
Twice, my project suddenly disappeared, which caused me to break out in a cold sweat :)
I contacted support, who often responded very quickly and helped me. Ninety-nine percent of the data was then restored, and I was able to continue trading from the previous day.

What was really annoying was that I noticed by chance at some point that the session indicators were out of sync. I simply don't know how long I traded with the wrong times. I also can't say exactly how these “project crashes” affected the data. Since my focus was strongly on capital and that was my benchmark, I believe that overall it was fine.

The problems listed were minor for me, so the good handling and quick testing clearly outweighed them.
I will continue to use the program and recommend purchasing it, as my personal preferences mentioned above were clearly met.

Below are some screenshots of the errors mentioned and, for many of you, probably the most interesting part: the results of the analysis.

I have not yet dealt with the analysis in depth. I do not understand some of the data yet, and I am simply not familiar with many of the technical terms, as my knowledge in this area is still rudimentary.

If it works out, I will be happy to share with you tonight or tomorrow what my personal final bosses and greatest successes were, and where I gained the most added value for my future trading.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

(News that has not been shared with the community):

The 2-minute timeframe no longer works for me, and when analyzing, I can't view the months under “Trading point by hour.” It crashes every time.

Can I view my trades and, above all, my failed trades below? If so, under which point?

Best regards,
Kordian
