Bug: Text added to a trend line does not appear on the chart

I’m trying to add text to a trend line using the Trend Line settings. However, no matter what text I enter, it does not appear on the trend line after I save the settings.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to the chart.

  2. Select the Trend Line tool.

  3. Draw a trend line on the chart.

  4. Open the trend line settings and go to the Text section.

  5. Enter any text and confirm/apply the changes.

  6. Check the trend line on the chart.

Actual result:
The trend line remains unchanged and no text is displayed.

Expected result:
The text entered in the Trend Line settings should be displayed on the selected trend line.

    Thank you for your request.

    I checked this myself, and there is one setting that is especially important here. In the Trend Line - Text settings, there is a separate “Text” checkbox. Please make sure this checkbox is enabled, if it is unchecked, the text will remain hidden even if you enter text and save the settings.

    You can also try the following:

    • Check the text color. If it is white and you’re using a light chart theme, the text may simply be difficult to see.

    • Try changing the text color to a contrasting color.

    • Try changing the vertical alignment.

    From our testing, the main thing to check is the “Text” checkbox, as disabling it completely hides the text from the trend line.

    Please let us know if the text still doesn’t appear after enabling it.

      the text checkbox been cheked, but after I have a couple of times checked and unchecked this box, this helped, now works, also if default color is set to black the font appears on chart as white, until I pick up black color again, but this is a minor issue, thank you for help.

        Hi! Thank you for the update, and I’m glad the checkbox issue is working now.

        Could you please send us a short video showing both problems - the checkbox behavior and the font color appearing white when black is selected by default?
        I can’t reproduce either of them on my side, so a quick recording would help a lot.
