Bug Report: Screen Scrolls and Zooms Unintentionally While Interacting with Charts on iPad Pro 2024

Subject: Bug Report: Screen Scrolls and Zooms Unintentionally While Interacting with Charts on iPad Pro 2024

Dear ForexTester Support Team,

I would like to report a usability issue I’ve encountered while using ForexTester Online on my iPad Pro 2024. This issue significantly impacts the functionality of the platform when accessed through mobile browsers. Below are the details of the bug:

Bug Description:

1. When attempting to move a chart (dragging or panning) on ForexTester Online using a browser on my iPad Pro 2024, the entire screen moves along with the chart.

2. When zooming in or out on the chart using pinch gestures, the entire page (screen) also zooms in or out, instead of just the chart responding.

These behaviors make it difficult to interact with the chart as intended and disrupt the user experience for technical analysis.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open ForexTester Online on an iPad Pro 2024 using Safari or Chrome.

2. Open any chart and attempt to:

• Pan/move the chart using touch gestures.

• Zoom in or out of the chart using pinch gestures.

3. Observe the unintended behavior:

• The screen scrolls along with the chart when panning.

• The entire screen zooms in or out along with the chart.

Expected Behavior:

For Panning: Only the chart should move in response to touch gestures, while the rest of the screen remains stable.

For Zooming: Only the chart should zoom in or out, without affecting the zoom level of the entire page.

Actual Behavior:

• The screen scrolls along with the chart during panning.

• The entire screen zooms in or out along with the chart during pinch-to-zoom gestures.

Devices and Browsers:

Device: iPad Pro 2024

Operating System: iPadOS (latest version)

Browsers: Safari, Chrome (issue occurs in both)

Impact:

This issue disrupts the user experience and makes it difficult to perform precise technical analysis, especially for traders who rely on ForexTester Online on mobile devices.

Recommendation:

Please investigate these issues and consider implementing a fix. Potential solutions might include:

1. Locking page scrolling and zooming when interacting with the chart area.

2. Enhancing compatibility with touch gestures for panning and zooming functionality on mobile devices.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please let me know if you require any additional details or further testing on my end.

Best regards,

Mustafa Halim
