Autochart follow unticked does not work

I’m struggling to get autochart follow or ¨autoscroll” to work… when I untick autochart follow the chart unpegs from the distance shift but wont freeze the chart still and produce candle forward.. instead the chart keep autoscrolling backwards… how do I fix this?

    Could you please send a short video showing the behavior?
    That will help me see exactly what is happening on your side.

    The logic of this function is the following: if auto-follow is disabled for a chart, and you scroll back so that the latest candle is no longer visible, then start testing, that chart will not jump back to the latest candle. In that case, returning to the last candle does not happen by design.

    If your chart is behaving differently from that, please send the video and I’ll review it.

        After disabling the autofollow option on the chart, you need to scroll the chart to the right so that the last candle is hidden behind the right edge of the screen. In that case, autofollow will work. This is exactly the logic that was built into this feature by our developers.

              Great, but this doesn't show me any new candles being printed… why can't I just have a simple feature like autoscroll disabled like it is in mt4 mt5 and TV

                Could you please clarify exactly what behavior you would like to have?

                If you describe what you expect to happen when Auto-follow is disabled, I can point you to the settings you need to use.

                I think you need to turn off the Date Range option in the Layouts menu.

                  Notice how the chart stays stationary and new candles form forward and don't push the chart backwards like they do with FXTO

                    Thank you for the video. Please try enabling Auto-follow and setting the Auto-follow offset to the minimum.

                    That should give you the behavior you're looking for. Let me know how it works on your side.
