Add option for gold traders to show Pips rather that points

Hi sir,

For us gold traders we count by pips, so we recommend an option to show counting to show by pips and not points…

Also the counting of the gold for this one is incorrect…

You can see the TP its showing +4052 points
For us gold in metatrader when we count points into gold is remove one decimal.. so we count that as 405 pips..

but the problem is the counting is incorrect…

I do a calculation by using a 0.10 lot size

with the TP of 40$ is only 40pips so the points counting is incorrect… the points should have been 405 points but in your chart its 4052 points..

4052 thats 405 pips already… thats a bit confusing on our part…

No wonder when I check how come its only $40 for 4052 points…

4052 = 405 pips = $405
405 = 40 pips = $40

You guys need to fix that points…
Or yet better add gold pips system…

so everything we see will be pips…
For us gold traders Pips is important we dont do points…


I hope this will be fix asap or yet better implement the gold pip system as an option… so we can just toggle it to enable or disable…

This is very important for us gold traders…

    Thank you for the detailed explanation.

    The difference you’re seeing is related to the price precision (number of decimal digits) used for the symbol. In our platform, points are calculated based on the symbol’s decimal format, and for XAUUSD it is currently set to 3 decimal places, which results in values like 4052 points.

    If you prefer the MetaTrader-style calculation (where:

    • 405 points = 40.5 pips

    • and values align with your expected pip logic),

    you can easily adjust this:

    How to fix it

    1. Open Settings

    2. Go to Symbol Properties

    3. Find your symbol (XAUUSD)

    4. Locate Post Decimal Digits

    5. Change the value from 3 to 2

    After setting 2 decimal digits, the point calculation will match the typical gold pip format, and the values (TP/SL, profit, etc.) should correspond to what you expect.

    Correction base on forextester online gold chart…


    I’ve been using the Psychology Levels and set the Level Step Multiplier into = 0.5
    Means all the levels of the lines will show 50pips if we count it correctly by pips

    thats 5000points in forextester which it should have been 500points
    The correct points is 500points = 50pips

    Suggestion add a text info in the Psychological Levels to show the Pips 50pips/100pips…

    When you open 0.01 trade
    the points to get 10$ for 100pips is 10000points in forextester this is wrong!

    means its 2 decimal from the right before you count it as pips…
    Thats too much points tradingview is even only 1000points for 100pips…
    Even on many brokers thats 2 digit broker for GOLD…

    10000points = 100pips
    1000points = 10pips

    Tradingview/MT4/MT5

    1000points = 100pips
    100points = 10pips

    You can really compare the points Forextester is way too much points…
    I haven’t encounter a Broker that has that kind of points for GOLD…

    You guys need to fix the points system base on any forex broker that has 2 digits and also tradingview…

    Also my suggestion to add option to show points into pips..
    This will be very helpful for us Gold traders….
    We count everything by pips…
