Add a way to change instruments on a project

Feature Request

Typically, after configuring a project (since we’re limited to 5-6 instruments on a given project), if I want to test more pairs, I’d typically duplicate the project, but then I have no way to change the instrument on any given project…

How does this impact your experience?

    Hey @kettch Thanks for bringing this up! You can now add up to 8 different symbols to a project. I tried reproducing the issue and found that I could change the symbols in a duplicated project. Could you record a short video showing exactly how you perform these actions? It would help us better understand the problem you're facing.

      I ran into the limit initially some weeks ago, but it seems like it was somehow relaxed or removed indeed. In fact, you’re stating that there’s a limit at 8, but I currently have 27 symbols in my project right now, and it works…

      So, I actually found a way to add additional symbols on a project, but:

      • it’s quite cumbersome because of multiple steps to do this, including the fear-inducing warning that “this will impact performance”, that I had to click 20 times in a row to add 20 symbols

      • once I add a symbol to a project, I have absolutely no way of removing it, so if it really impacts performance, there should be some way to go back on this

      I’m not sure what you mean when you’re talking about “changing” a symbol in a project. I can see only two places where I can see the list of symbols in a project: the project list (where it’s not editable at all), and the symbol list when clicking on the symbol at the top left of the chart. There, I can change the symbol for a chart, but as far as the project is concerned, I can only add symbols in there, not removing or change them.

        Thank you for the detailed explanation. I understand your point. Please note that you can also select symbols added to your project in the watchlist.



        Here you can select a symbol already added to the project. If you want to add a new symbol to the project, you need to do this via the symbol icon in the upper left corner of the chart. As for removing symbols from the list, yes, there is no such option. I will pass your recommendation on to our developers for consideration. Thank you, we appreciate your patience.
