Add 3-minute timeframe

Hello Forex Tester team,

I would also like to suggest adding the 3-minute timeframe to Forex Tester.

At the moment, some standard timeframes are available, but the 3-minute timeframe is very important for my trading style and for my backtesting workflow.

For many traders, M3 can be very useful because it sits between M1 and M5. It allows a more detailed view than M5, but it is cleaner and less noisy than M1.

In my case, the 3-minute timeframe would be very helpful for:

  • analyzing short-term price action;

  • improving trade entries;

  • reviewing scalping setups;

  • studying market structure between M1 and M5;

  • making backtesting more realistic for strategies that use intermediate timeframes.

It would be very useful if Forex Tester included M3 as a selectable timeframe, just like M1, M5, M15, and the other standard timeframes.

If possible, it would also be great to have more customizable timeframes in general, so users can create timeframes such as 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 10 minutes, or other custom values.

For me, the most important one is definitely the 3-minute timeframe.

    this functionality is already there. just type 3 and hit enter :)

    Dear @davide di stefano . You can add M3 timeframes in FTO if you have Pro subscription. To do that, click on the “arrow down“ button at the right of the chart timeframe, then click “Add Timeframe“ button. In appeared window enter 3 and click “Add New Timeframe“. After that, you can start using M3 timeframe.

      I understand now that the 3-minute timeframe is already available in Forex Tester.

      The reason why I suggested adding the 3-minute timeframe is that, every time I tried to customize the timeframe and set it to 3 minutes, the platform used to crash completely.

      Because of that, I thought the 3-minute timeframe was not properly available or not working correctly.

      However, it seems that now the 3-minute timeframe works correctly.

        Thank you for clarifying and confirming that the 3‑minute timeframe now works correctly.

        If the issue happens again, please let us know and send us a video recording with the Console tab open. That will help us capture the error details and investigate further.
