This let me take 2 25% trades, but now won't. I did not mean to do the first one, but the second one was to make my money back…I am not wanting to make a 25% trade now, but letting you know about it
Hello @Tradermoe1023 . According to the screenshot, you need 20517 USD on your account in order to be able to place this order but your equity is 11996 USD only.
If you want to place this kind of order then you will need to increase leverage at least in two times (for example, from 100 to 200, or from 250 too 500). Or increase balance from 12k to at least 22k, for example. This will help.

I don’t want to make that big of a trade. I don’t understand why the default is even 25%. I accidentally made a couple of trades using 25%, but one of the trades I almost made accidentally did not work. In the screenshot you are also able to see that 2 of my trades were massive. It should not have let me make those trades, but the system did.

The system allowed you to open previous orders because you’ve had enough free margin. According to the screenshot, your acount was around 12k USD which were enough to open an order with ~7 lots. If you don’t want to place these big orders then please decrease a value in the “Risk“ field from 25 to 2.5, for example, and you won’t have this problem in the future.

I forgot to change it. I don’t want to trade using 25% risk. That is insane and would teach very bad habits. I don’t know of anyone trading 25% risk, and that is why I am baffled why it is the default risk %. Why did you guys choose 25% as default risk level.

I’ve just created a project for GBPUSD pair and default risk % is 0.05, as far as I know, FTO shouldn’t put bigger % than 0.1-1 as the default risk. But just in case, I will notify our developers about this issue, we will try to reproduce it on our side.
