11th FTO Release (21.11.2024)

We are thrilled to announce a series of powerful new features, important fixes, and enhancements in this release, including an upgraded settings experience and a brand-new landing page for FTO. Here are the details:

New Features

  • Symbol Descriptions in "Create New Project"
    Added symbol descriptions to the project creation window, helping users make informed choices when starting new projects.

  • Indicator: Alligator (B. Williams)
    Introduced the Alligator indicator for advanced trend analysis.

  • Trading Sessions Time Display
    Updated the Trading Sessions indicator to display time based on the UTC+0 offset.

  • Close Chart Button in Multi-Charting
    Added a button for quickly closing charts in multi-charting mode.

  • Enhanced "Jump To Historical Moments" Feature
    Expanded the "Jump To Historical Moments" feature to include 50 significant historical events for richer backtesting insights.

  • FTO New Landing Page
    We are excited to unveil our newly redesigned landing page for FTO! With an improved layout, enhanced visuals, and user-friendly navigation, it's now easier than ever to explore our platform and its features.

Bug Fixes

  • Toast Notifications
    Fixed an issue where toast notifications would spam when testing reached the end of data.

  • Hover Behavior on Currency Selection
    Resolved hover behavior issues with the currency selection button on the chart for smoother interaction.

  • Indicator Layering
    Fixed a bug where indicators were incorrectly painted below bars on the chart.

  • Balance Turning Negative
    Corrected an issue where the balance unexpectedly turned negative under certain conditions.

Enhanced Settings Tab

We've introduced a comprehensive upgrade to the Settings Tab, giving users unprecedented control over their backtesting environment. Below are the details:

General Settings Tab

  • Customize the display of the Bid/Ask panel.

  • Option to disable trading through the Bid/Ask panel for cleaner chart visuals.

  • Choose how trades are placed: immediately or via the new order window for added flexibility.

Project Settings Tab

  • View detailed project information, including:

    • Time zone.

    • Use of daylight saving time.

    • Initial balance.
      Note: This tab currently offers view-only options. Additional settings will be introduced in future updates.

Leverage Tab

  • Adjust leverage used in the project.
    Important: Changes in leverage may impact project statistics.

Symbol Settings Tab

  • Customize symbol properties for your project, including:

    • Lot (contract) size.

    • Enable/disable floating spread.

    • Set a fixed spread value when floating spread is disabled.

    • Post-decimal digits value.

    • Minimum distance to price (in points).

    • Swaps for long and short positions.

Commissions Tab

  • Adjust commissions to create more realistic backtesting conditions, aligning results closer to real-world scenarios.
